For the past 2 years the teen Rec Room has been an experiment by the city with great success. Now with budgets being tight there is the chance this program is going to be cut. The Rec Room gives our teens a safe and fun place in town to gather. This summer they saw an average of 30 high schoolers using the space each night. The local band Black Water Rail Road recently deemed this program their Legacy Project, and will be holding music sessions with the teens in the future. However, the space needs to be there and funded in order for great things like this to continue in our community for our youth. If you support the Rec Room and all the great things it is providing for our teens please sign the petition to show our city officials how important it is to keep this space in the budget.
