Yet more false news. Lavender Hill Police Station will remain open 24/7 until a new police contact point near Lavender Hill is opened which will also remain open 24/7. Had you attended the open meeting at the Town Hall on 14th September, you would know this. Similar arrangements will take place in other boroughs.

There is enough street crime now without taking more and more officers and contact points away for those who are law abiding and need to feel safe going about their daily lives.

At this time in particular, it's complete stupidity to cut funding for policing and to close police stations. People feel unsafe as it is.

How you can even countenance closing Lavender Hill Police Station when crime is endemic locally with mugging and robberies happening almost daily around me, absolutely astounds me. This must NOT HAPPEN. The Police budget should be increased around here not decreased.
