Outdoor seating is one of the great experiences when dining in New York. It would be an unfair disadvantage to rob City Crab of offering this option to it's patrons.

City Crab should have the same rights as any other restaurant in the city. Further down the street toward Irving Place there are planters in front of buildings that obstruct pedestrians far more that the tables at City Crab. When someone chooses to live in an area that includes commercial businesses they need to expect certain inconveniences rather than thinking those enterprises should be changed to suit them.

NYC is about enjoying the outdoors and scenery, outdoor eating on a beautiful day 3-4 months out of a years is not cause to take it away.
