We found these woods when we first moved to the area, we loved them, our children when they came along, loved them & I want my Grandchildren when I have them to enjoy them. They are a beautiful & peaceful place amongst a concrete jungle, leave them alone

With the ever growing interest many a countryside and woodland craft it's sad to hear news of a wood iv'e dreamed of coppicing is to be flattened for more housing absolutely disgusting. signed by a woodman who is searching for woodland too work but brick's and mortar are more important than countryside and greenspaces. mmm serious rethink needed i think.

No! No! No! No more houses on greenfield sites. Maidstone Borough Council hang your heads in shame. You are ruining this whole area with your short term views. You've already committed to a huge housing programme in this area, which will now be urban by nature rather than semi-rural as it once was. You have gone too far and this proposal highlights your greed and lack of care for the future of Maidstone, it's people and our natural environment.

Please do not destroy this woodland and open space. This is a place that locals love to walk and listen to nature. It is good for children to grow up with this environment.

There can be no moral justification for destroying this woodland for a housing project.
