Homely nursery with amazing staff - I've seen other nurseries where the standard of care isn't as high or indeed the dedication to the children. The decision to close should be better thought out

As a parent its important to find a nursery whe r e your children feel safe and can bond we ith the staff, I have only heard good things about here and it seems so unfair to lose such a place.

It's despicable how the welfare of children and their bond with the girls working there are being put in jeopardy just for money. It's even worse when we take into consideration that the nursery was ticking all the boxes for being the perfect nursery: the children enjoy it and it's in a discrete but safe environment and profitability is positive and more importantly the ofsted report shows that an excellent work is being done. Now parents are doubly sad to see their children who had settle there having to move to a different nursery and start again the process of readptation. These children are not machines. The employees will face the prospect of losing their employment. Sorry but this is unacceptable and cruel. All this in the name of profit?? Looks like greed to me.

I worked in Sutherland House and used this nursery for almost 2 years before i left to have my second child. My daughter was safe and secure an in the building where i was. Nothing was more important to me as a new mum. They can't need the space so why close. Please keep it open and leave this wonderful safe environment for our children.

I previously worked at this nursery for ten years before pursuing a career as a student children's nurse I have continued to reccomend this nursery to family and friends as it's still fantastic it really an not close it will be such a shame!!!

I work at a childcarehavetting and I understand the importance of a child having a safe,, secure and caring surrounding to help develop a child socially and emotionally for a smooth transition into school. Clearly no one has taken this into consideration when they decided to close. If you did you would not be even considering closing until at least at the end of the academic year when children and families have a better chance at finding an alternative setting for their child. Especially with childcare spaces being so rare in the crawley area.

This is unfair on the children, their parents and all the amazing staff that work there and who have put so much effort in making the place what it is today.

Think of those poor babies having to go through the whole settling in stage.... It's not fair on them xx

This is very close to my heart not just because I work here but I have gained friendships with staff, parents and children that will last forever! If we could save our nursery it would be amazing or even delay it for a few more weeks, it's not enough time for parents to find another nursery or for us staff to find another job! Xxx just makes me so angry and upset to think we have to walk away from it all xxx

I worked at this nursery a few years ago, it's a wonderful facility with a small and homely atmosphere and as all the staff knew all the children and their parents it was so friendly. Heard the news of the planned closure tonight and I'm gutted for the staff, parents and above all the children being denied care at this brilliant nursery.

Absolutely ridiculous to close quality childcare at such short notice. Shame on those involved in this decision. So disgraceful to leave parents and staff in the lurch at such short notice.

This is the only nursery that we felt was the most friendly and suited to care for our only child it comes as a tremendous shock that there are plans to close it down. To only give parents a short notice period tonthe parents who would have agreed with us in the fact that they would not put their child anywhere else is not acceptable. these plans need to be
