"Charities such as the Early Support Nursery have been pivotal in providing much needed care and support for disadvantaged children and their parents. Shame on Stockton on Tees Borough Council for accepting the political dic tat of a Government totally lacking in any compassion or sensitivity."

Here we go again!!!How many times does this have to happen?People making crucial decisions who haven't got a clue what they are making decisions about.Reading between the lines they put money before peoples well being. The benefits of this OUTSTANDING yes OUTSTANDING nursery are far too many to list here. The fantastic support both emotional and educational given to all the children and their families is second to none and to my knowledge aren't available anywhere else in the local area. You can't put a cost on the support from this nursery as it is priceless.Come on Stockton Borough council do something positive for once.To close the nursery down would be like cutting off a lifeline for so may dependant families in the Thornaby area who depend on the expert advice and help given freely from Early support nursery and other parents in the group who share and help each other through their experiences. The care and emotional support is unique to early support by gaining the trust of both pupils and parents. The experience and dedication of all staff has no cost its priceless!!!!!!So come on Stockton Council do the right thing and support Early support Don't close it down and have another boarded up building on the landscape!!!!!!

Have the costs associated with moving these children, both on parents and the authority been fully quantified? Often parents of SEN children are on low incomes so can ill afford to travel to access education every day. The proposals need to be thought through again.

Please don't close a vital part of our education system. Units like this are a lifeline for children and provide the support these children need that is not available in mainstream schools

Children with special educational needs require early support from experienced staff. This is what the Early Support Nursery offers so why close down an outstanding nursery?

This shouldn't even be considered, disabled children and parents get nothing off this council. Put something back in the community for the disabled.

Parents of children with learning difficulties need all the help they can get. Theirs is a daily struggle bringing up lovable but challenging children. How dare you consider closing this nursery when they rely on it so much.
