About 2 years ago, a successful permit parking scheme was implemented for Church Brow/Church Street/York Street in Clitheroe. The ETRO was put in place after 10 years (!) of careful deliberation and an immense amount of effort spent by both RVBC and LCC.  As town centre residents, we were in desperate need of a permit scheme. The existing ETRO has improved our day-to-day lives immeasurably. Residents who purchase a permit can now park somewhat near their home, without having to leave every 2 hours to senselessly move their car up or down the street, often with young children in tow, or in abandoning our work-from-home jobs during work hours. The scheme has created additional spaces for shoppers, visitors and residents alike, and spaces are shared amongst all parties. This  effective and viable scheme must be KEPT AND MADE PERMANENT.
