I would love to keep this theater around, as it is my favorite in San Jose. I frequent here a couple of times per month at least. I love it's central location and the fact that it has so many options in regards to movies. I'd hate to see it go.

The largest city in Northern California definitely needs a theatre. Without a Cinema theatre in the plaza there will be a ripple effect, which hurts everyone!!

Downtown San Jose needs to diversify it's entertainment offerings so we can experience family friendly venues. Movie theaters invite restaurants and retail. Losing the Ross and Cinema 12 hurts downtown.

We need to save this very important resource in downtown. With all the high-rises coming online, the residents will need a neighborhood theater and now is not the time to lose it. It is also essential for Cinequest which is important for the local economy.

Although originally designed as a department store, this building has served well as a core movie anchor in our downtown San Jose community.

I have enjoyed these theaters since they opened. They were underwritten heavily by the defunct San Jose Redevelopment Agency. I have never been to a conventional showing where the seats were more than 10% filled though. If you want to save the theater or any other pleasurable amenity to the downtown you need to address the real problem. Street people make theater goers feel unsafe. So otherwise happy movie goers attend other theaters. No matter who owns the theater, they will need patrons from all over. Not just downtown. Parking is another issue but not as bad as the crazies and druggies.

San Jose definitely needs a downtown movie theater that shows mainstream movies! It's good for downtown residents, and it's good for businesses to get families (not just bar-hoppers) into the downtown area. I really enjoy(ed) being able to walk to a movies and I am very disappointed that Camera 12 has closed

Camera12 was a critical element to downtown-living. Given the increased density of the downtown population, it must be preserved!
