Does anyone know what happened with the original plans? I know it came down to funding etc and I understand that but is there no way that those original plans can be altered slightly to save cash? It's not fair to cut the park into something so small. What would happen with the park already there? My childminded children and I spend so much time at the meedies. I know several others who do the same. How can they justify taking away this play space while the same council are pushing for childminders to use local amenities and outdoor areas to get the kids out of the settings and into the fresh air and nature. It's an absolute disgrace to do this to the kids when play parks are in such decline in Fife.
Other councils such as Glasgow and Falkirk have some fantastic parks. Pollock country park, Zetland park and callander park are fantastic!! The space and the equipment is amazing!! Fife are letting their younger folks down massively with these plans. People come from all over to use our local park but if you make it smaller there will be less space. Less space makes for less people which in turn means less visitors to use the café. This effects the whole community. Makes me so angry that Fife council think this is acceptable!!

Ridiculous fife council, instead of wasting money relocating n moving play Park that that's constantly used ppl drive all over fife to visit lochor meadows, spend the money else where.

Leave the park as it is, the green space allows many activities for the kids and adults to enjoy. Always penalised is Benarty.

We used this park throughout our children life, we met our friend and family here. Our kids loved it, when asking them where would you like to go, they always picked the meedies.
