Through my 2 pregnancies and births ive had nothing but a positive experience at Mersey and I've heard nothing but bad experiences and problems at Burnie, I know which one I'd prefer!

We need to save this hospital, Burnie is to far for pregnant mothers to be traveling especially if they are in labour, there will be many mothers that will be giving birth in their car as they are trying to make it over there in time. Don't take this away from us. We need this hospital.

Poor transport services, and many people being non- drivers, in the NW makes this an essential service at both the NW hospitals.

Earlier this year I had my first baby at Burnie regional. The ward was completely full they were understaffed the 4 days I was there. How are they going to serve a wider community?

Maternity ward at Mersey was wonderful, much better experience there, the midwives were all fantastic and caring

The nurses who work on the ward were amazing whwn I had my son 3 months ago. We can't lose something so important and needed.

Had this ward not been available and I had to go Burnie I would've delivered my baby on the side of the road!
