I work at a small Japanese restaurant that is really suffering from this pandemic. We remain open due to our staff being deeply dependent on our pay here, but we fear we may not be able to be open much longer. I am a 21 year old woman who, because of the Strip closures, is the only person employed in my household. With our store suffering at such a drastic rate, I’m afraid I will not be able to stay employed and cannot even manage to pay rent. I’m sure my story has been told time and time again from those in the valley, but our city’s local businesses need support desperately. We are human beings that deserve support to continue to exist.

This city would not be the same without these businesses. Support the businesses that make our city and neighborhoods so special and unique.

I agree completely, working people are the ones getting hurt by this approach and they need more protection.

Hospitality in all its forms and sizes is the lifeblood of Clark County and therefore of Nevada however, it's our people who make it a living thing. Please speak up for all of the individuals, families and small restaurateurs directly impacted by every decision you make because its up to you to support them or let them drown. Do the right thing has a lot of meaning now for you. Please fight for all of Nevada.

For the near future, our focus needs to be on Keeping ALL our residents safe. I’m proud to say, our family has two generations of passionate, and dedicated restaurant workers who’ve worked for the ground up within the industry. As the whole of the Las Vegas community comes together we will rise to the challenge before us & be stronger & better for our experiences. Let’s “step up and step out” & be creative in our efforts to not just survive but thrive
