I feel that rather than more luxury flats being built the area could benefit more from Council housing as this would be more useful to the needs of the local community that has some of the most poorest households in London.
The closure of this supermarket will substantially decrease the quality of life for so many people in Hoxton and Shoreditch even further as it’s the only affordable supermarket for miles.

In a time of austerity for families, Icelands is a trustworthy, fair priced supermarket that sells quality products that are unaffordable in other stores. Leave the local community stores alone !

Fully support this petition, the developer needs to go back to the drawing board and properly engage with the local community. Iceland is an important local resource and not delivering any affordable housing is simply unacceptable.

This shop is vital. Historically, for as long as I can remember there has always been a supermarket there. I am 51 and definitely rely on this as well as the elderly and parents coming home from school. Not everyone can get to Dalston or Angel to shop. Come on let's keep our community resources!
