This is a fantastic school. The teachers and staff that make ABE change student's lives. The little pink school is not only an historic building, but a neighborhood's school which comes together every day.

Leave the school! I attended 60 years ago. I still remember my wonderful kindergarten and first grade teachers name, Ms Nichols. We need AWESOME lil schools.

Closing ABE would be devastating for our community. If a charter school or something else replaced ABE, it would bring increased traffic to the area and also lose our neighborhood feel of the school.

Atlantic Beach Elementary is a pillar of the Atlantic beach community. Our kids are cherished in this small but mighty school. Busing little children who are 4 and 5 years old to a school combined with hundreds of kids would be detrimental to their development. Our school is special because of its size and the community that surrounds it. Don’t take that away from our children

As a mom of three in DCPS since 2010, I can say with confidence that ABE is a GEM that strengthens kids and builds up the community around them. DCPS should replicate ABE! #CopyPasteABE !!

We cannot afford to lose ANY schools at the beaches! Classrooms are already overpopulated and closing this school will only cause more of a burden onto the remaining schools and staff. KEEP ALL BEACHES SCHOOLS OPEN!
