Schools in the area are already overcrowded not to mention the impact this will make on the livelihood of teachers! Absolutely outraged by this proposal.

ABE is truly a part of the AB Community. We all embrace the kids heading to school and it’s truly part of what makes AB unique.

This a great neighborhood school and it should not be changed from being a public school.

This is absurd! Why take a successful “A” school and close it due to subjective reasoning such as the statement that a school needs 800-1200 students to be viable. If a school serves its neighborhood effectively then leave it alone & allow it to continue to thrive! I can’t help but think that something sinister is at play here, due to the value of the land where the school stands.

Neighborhood schools are the back bone of a community, not charter schools.

Having neighborhood schools are do important for this community and all communities. Fewer schools means more traffic on the roads, overcrowding, poor work environment for teachers who are already stretched thin, and lower quality of education for our kids.

We moved here with hopes of our children walking to this amazing school. It is a staple of our community. Thank you for your re-consideration

Atlantic Beach would not be the same without our little pink school. After 16 years this is my last year with a child there, but I believe all local children should get to experience the great education, and community that comes with ABE
