If they can't afford to have cover teachers, double language GCSE, tech GCSE and anywhere for a library then why is our school spending money on chairs, a useless amphitheater, a new reception, bean bags and a centenary wall thing or whatever it is. They can't close the library, it's a fundamental part of any school, let alone a Grammar school! Our school doesn't have any money, we all know this but there are so many other ways to get more money. Fundaraisers, letting anyone use the gym for a price and so many other ways i'm sure a grammar school could come up with. If they close the library it will be unforgivable. You've already stopped people following the careers they want by not letting them take their chosen GCSE, don't do it by not giving them a quiet place to study or relax and gettng rid of hundreds of books that people use every day. Sort it out!

we are a GRAMMAR SCHOOL!! TAKE AWAY ONE THE TOILETS INSTEAD- WE CANNOT DO THAT TO BOOKS.. THAT IS CRUEL...

I understand that the school doesn't have much money and this is a serious problem but the library is the only place a lot of our students can find books they like without buying them, and so the amount they read will definitely decrease. I know a lot of students who devour our libraries books in days before returning them and so reading will become a lot harder and less frequent for quite a few people. There are people I see every day in the library with a new book in their hands and I know a lot of readers who have been changed for the better by the books they've read in the library. I know it might seem like your hands are tied but is there no other way? I know that the closing of the library will mean reading habits will be lost and that is not a insignificant thing.
