Totally agree -- the Adams/Hancock area suffers from too much traffic traveling too fast, with not sufficient enforcement of speed limits and the stop sign.

What's a traffic study? Is that when the town spends $25,000 and 2 years to recommend they put up a stop light?
Because I think we should just ask for a stop light and save the town time and money.
Some of us parents could have this up and running by next week. It's $450 on ebay for all the lights and controllers.

Hi Danielle,
We're asking for the town to conduct a Traffic Study as the first step in the process.

I agree that there is a traffic/speed issue between Fiske and the intersection of Hancock and Adams. What are we asking the town to do to help deal with it?

I remember when trucks were excluded from Hancock Street! That would be a start.

This is a pressing safety issue that will hopefully receive the prompt attention that it warrants.

12 Adams. Sometimes I can't get in or out of my driveway because commuters are too busy nudging up to the car in front!

The crosswalk on Hancock Street, right before you enter Adams, might as well not be there for most commuters- we have had some near misses with people flying down Hancock Street and not stopping for children in the cross walk. If the island intersection slowed the cars down more, with a light or more traffic signs, maybe it would make both Adams and Hancock safer to be a pedestrian, and driver at times.
I agree that this is a significant concern.
