I really need a landline as mobiles make me ill from the radiation

We need to have landlines during power cuts, which will increase in number in the future.

We need to keep the option of traditional landline phones for many reasons, including safety, security for vulnerable and elderly accessing emergency services, costs and avoid the exploitation from Big Telecom pushing a blanket digital future on us all

I've been changing my energy supplier, using a mobile phone I ran out of credit because it took so long to sort out, but this wouldn't happen on a landline.

It's a big mistake to get rid of landlines. Many people still rely on them and the recent Storm Eunice showed how vital they are. In my area, every other means of communication was rendered unusable for a few hours. What if someone has a heart attack whilst other means of communication are down? A landline could save a life.

It would be terrible to lose our landline. It's a great back up for my teenager when his phone is lost, broken etc and for me too! It's a health and safety issue. Also some companies you can only contact via free call numbers (that are charged very high rates from mobile) Plus in our house our mobile phone reception is bad (although you can get around that by using whatsapp etc, but not all people use the same app for voice messaging so you can't always contact all people. Hope these points help!

It us essential we retain our landlines as so many pee cannot tolerate wifi as ut makes them ill.

Keeping the landline system is essential for people who.... Only have a land line, people who live in areas without mobile coverage and the elderly who don't have mobile phones etc...

Landlines are essential for many people especially those with electromagnetic hypersensitivity who suffer severe adverse effects from the wireless radiation of mobile phones. Other people don’t want or are unable to use a mobile phone for various reasons and vulnerable people who rely on an emergency response system in case of a fall or other emergency need their landlines for the system to operate. Landlines are also much more reliable especially in the case of an electricity power cut – it’s very important that they are not phased out.

I prefer to speak to people using my landline and my mobile phone makes me feel sick when I speak to people , I feel like I have radiation sickness. We should have the choice and land line 100% should stay. Lots of people still don't have mobile phones.

Many people do not use mobile phones, particularly older people. They need a landline, for a variety of normal reasons, and also for their emergency call out service. Why should we forego the trusted landlines which we have all over the country. We want to maintain our secure, affordable and reliable voice service - this will save everyone in the UK money, time and much trouble. Happily my MP agrees, and has pledged to support the maintenance of the copper landline network.

I want the choice to use a landline, as to increasing numbers of customers who are aware of the health and environmental issues caused by mobile phone use.

I am really concerned about this as I need to use a landline. Also it is foolishly wasteful to pull the plug on a such a vast, efficient, safe, and useful national resource.

Copper landlines are essential to keep as they are a safe, effective way of communication which does not endanger our Privacy or Health. People should have the right to choose to retain their copper landlines as it is a lifeline, especially for those who are Electro Hyper-sensitive.

This is another way in which people are being coerced into using mobile phones, where no other emergency option is available Our phone boxes are being threatened by 5G Street Hubs also.
