Keep the landlines, all over the world!

This must be one of the most important issues of our times.

In an area with unreliable mobile signal and an elderly population, the copper landline is essential for safety

Many people are suffering serious health consequences from EMF exposure. It makes no sense to do away with landlines.

We have WiFi phones at work, always going wrong, imagine old people having to rely upon them, they're not safe, there'd no need to force everyone tk have WiFi phones amd in fact I don't think I've seen Amy safety days to say how much emf they emit either. Stop forcing vulnerable people to have technology thrybdont want or need.

So glad this is happening. We must protect our very lifeline under all circumstances.

It is just so important to keep the copper analogue landlines working.

Landlines are essential for me and many other older people.

Make them more efficient, not shed them....

Copper connectivity remains the superior technology for reliability, safety and voice quality.

I know for a fact that when we had major storms here in Minnesota about 10 or 12 years ago, people lost their cell phone communication. They had no way to communicate. And the only people who had the ability to communicate were those of us who still had land lines.

Essential for seniors who rely on their landline and dont have internet connections .

It’s the only way of contact to my brother in law who is blind, and an absolute life line for him and our family.

My landline is a lifeline, honestly. I'm electrosensitive and wouldn't be able to speak with my parents without it. Plus we get frequent power cuts and it helps to have something that works.

Copper landlines work when the electric grid and cell towers are down. They have excellent sound transmission compared to others. They're also healthy. Many have become sensitive to the other communication means such as cell phones.

We are walking blindly into a monoculture of digital dependency. This is not about nostalgia or Ludditism but about keeping a diversity of the means of communication. Landlines are there already. Why change what already works?

Leave what works well enough alone.

Sadly lost mine which I’m fuming about , if I could keep it or reinstall it I would …. It’s absolutely disgusting what the telecommunications industry is getting away with without a democratic vote from the public! Soon as loose your internet connection you loose the option of calling out on landline with the new digital format

Save the landlines. Get rid of cell phones. Save the planet!
