Many of us elderly are too old to learn to use mobiles and need the reliability - and audibility - of the landline.

I am particularly concerned about the elderly; those in areas poorly served by the internet; and people who have a strong reaction to mobile phones. Why can’t we simply have both??

VoIP should not be fully depended on, Copper land lines need to be an emergency telephone resource.

They use this as an excuse to roll out more wireless as VOIP won't work during power cuts. We don't want to get rid of the "not spots" they are essential for those who are already Electro-sensitive as well as those who simply don't want to be bombarded with Electrosmog. What we are asking for is to retain the analogue, copper landlines for all to enjoy.

They are using this as an excused to roll out more wireless and get rid of the "not spots" so that there is a back-up for when the VOIP disappears during a Power Cut..... Wireless is harmful to Health and Environment, we don't need more of it. What we need is good, reliable, safe analogue copper landlines. Thanks for signing this petition, please share it with the World for the assault on the Landline is a worldwide endeavour....

BT should be forced to sell the network to another operator who intends to keep it operational if it no longer wishes to operate it.
