Please save our analogue landlines.

I have a copper landline and always have .I pay for this actual device usage on my bill so that is but one reason why I object to having it removed .as I have not consented to that .Many people choose not to have mobile phones either and not everyone has or wishes to have digital connections of any kind . Apart from any of the above these wifi related devices are a huge health risk which feel many are ignorant of and seem addicted to the questionable convenience . I am of the older generation and pre tech invasion everything worked just fine Thank you.

What kind of madness would drive the elimination of a copper landline network? At a time when power grids no longer offer reliability and the proliferation of wireless offers no security, it would be the definition of insanity to deny millions of households from analogue copper landline access. While in my decisions, there tend to be gray areas, this is one in which there is a clear "right" vs. "wrong." Please act wisely and responsibly. There is no justification to end landline phone access. It is a literal and figurative lifeline for millions.

Wi fi makes me ill. I need to retain a landline that is not connected to it. No one asked us, it was just decided and implemented in lockdown, on the quiet. Where is the open discussion about this? Why are there no regulations or opportunities to say no to government? Which person in government decided this was a good thing?

I ONLY HAVE A LINELINE, NO MOBILE. I ONLY WANT A LANDLINE, I DO NOT WANT A MOBILE/SMART PHONE!!!

I can't use a mobile phone because I am very electro sensitive and get sick near wifi. I'm elderly with a chronic illness and dont have family close by so it's a life and death situation if I have my land line withdrawn

Why destroy an existing, valuable and well established key infrastructure. In the unlikely event of power cut, landlines are a life line, not only for those who rely on them but also for the nation

We would be lost without landline here. I look after my 94 yr old neighbours, my husband is incapacitated and diabetic, we live in an isolated part and our mobile signal is crap, but the main thing is that nobody remembers mobile phone numbers except teir own whereas everyone can remember the land line. We need phone boxes and land lines kept. Also we have so many power cuts in our area all year and sometimes for days.

I have just been forced by BT/Open Reach to convert my 'landline' to ViOP technology. The appropriate copper wiring is still in place but has not been maintained by Open Reach for some time - consequently the line quality had deteriorated significantly. The context is that after retirement 14 or so years ago I cut my mobile phone use to the bare minimum after experiencing problems when I was a heavy user 20 + years ago - a blocker attached to the phone helped at that time. I resent being forced into having a landline which isn't. Now using a magnetic headband while on the phone as a temporary measure and will look into blockers again. However the real issue is being denied the choice.

This is outrageous, a total lack of respect for the older generation. So many will die alone because of this, if it goes ahead as planned.

Gov.Uk recently gave information on ‘what to do’ in an emergency situation BUT conveniently left out that Mobile Phones would be useless if the Grid is attacked. They constantly tout ‘Cyber Attack’ and yet intend to remove the one reliable form of contact, especially for our Seniors! I WILL NOT ‘buy into’ anything Digital for my well-being! Gov.Uk need to stop lying about the known harms of non-ionising radiation!

I have EHS and do not use digital devices, this violates my right to live in a healthy environment without an influx of microwave radiation in my home and stops me from being able to communicate with the outside world.

My mum is a vulnerable elderly woman who relies on her landline

My mobile signal is very poor . I don’t feel safe with digital.

I am 80 and needy landline as I do not have mobile phone connection in my area
