Same, this is an absolutely vital service to maintain and protect as base-level WLR service that does not rely on the internet or electricity to function. The environmental credentials of copper lines at 54v is also far superior to the VOIP counterpart. I now use public call boxes to help them out. £1.20 for a whole hour !

I don't want to pay BT or any other service provider for completely un-necessary ''super-fast'' broadband. It's a con to run the economy off the back of. Do not allow them to stop your copper line WLR services. We must protect this vital analogue service.

The PSTN copper lines analogue network is essential to to many people as a way of having a secular non-internet method of telecommunication, the maintenance costs of existing copper lines is far smaller than the often un-called for roll out of fibre and for many hasn't been done a national or local consolation. The humble, efficient and environmentally superior nature of copper analogue networks is all many need to communicate (calls, texts and small packet data) and do not want to partake in what has become a coercive 'cult' that is fibre-broadband and IOT. This vital base-level artery for communication MUST be protected.

The public needs to be more informed on the hazards of wireless and soaring Autism in children.

I NEED MY LANDLINE. I don’t need to have my phone with me at all times, but I enjoy a conversation in my space with a carriage that is suited to me.

Many elderly folk in my village do not own a computer, 'smart' phone or anything else that is RF and has the ability to wreck one's health. Government/bt - Keep your hands off our landlines. I did not vote for this.

We live in the Scottish highlands, three times over the last 18 months the electricity has gone down, for between 8 hours and a couple of days. There was no molibe signal at all because of course the masts were all not working -the only thing that worked was the trusty land line, which meant I could ring my family and stay in touch with them including two elederly relatives I am in constant contact with and speak to several times a day.

Good for you! If we are to stop the current onslaught on our Health, Environment and Freedoms, there is only one solution: To ditch our little Black Mirrors - whether so-called "smart" or otherwise - get a landline and demand to keep it by sharing this petition with the World. This petition now has over 1500 signatures, which is good, but we need many many more signatures to make a real difference. You can sign this wherever you are in the World, but if you do not live in the UK, please design one for your country as well. After all, the current wireless proliferation is a Global phenomenon which needs to be countered across the World....

I appreciate my landline, it is used daily. I'm going back to completely hardwired ASAP.

Keep landlines! I I need healthier options for my young children growing up! Less screens and radiations please!

I am outraged that we might lose analogue copper landlines. a disgraceful act that must be stopped.

Much safer than mobile 'phones! We should have the right to choose.

We need landlines as a safer alternative to mobiles, which emit cancerous radiation. We also need the independence that these lines offer - with the absence from tracking, and the disconnectedness from addictive online technologies in general. This is also critical for emergencies.

Landlines should never be removed.

Once these lines are gone it would take years for them to be reestablished.it would be a retrograde step to remove them

Due to health conditions i need to stay on a copper land line.
