This is my church. The one place where youth like I can go and find peace. This church has open arms members where we are all friendly and worship our Lord Jesus Christ. I would love to raise my children and children in my church where they would be around ppl of their heritage and same religion. Please save my church

I am trying to sign the Petition for my Parish but is is telling me that, at this time, they cannot process my signature and comments. Therefore I am sharing my petition and comments. The following are my comments: I AM PRAYING FOR MY PARISH. IN MY OPINION, IF THE BISHOP IS SO ADAMANT WITH A FIRM "NO" NOT TO KEEP OUR PARISH OPEN, THEN I SAY, DO NOT STOP AT THE BISHOP, GO ABOVE HIM TO HIS SUPERIORS. THIS IS NOT ONLY RIDICULOUS, BUT IT IS ALSO NOT CHRIST LIKE, TO GIVE A FIRM NO AND NOT BE WILLING TO WORK WITH OUR PARISH. WE ARE THE ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORICAL PARISH IN THE DIOCESE AND THIS WILL BE THE SECOND TIME WE WERE FORCED TO SHUT DOWN AND MERGE WITH ANOTHER CATHOLIC PARISH. IF IT WERE ANOTHER CATHOLIC PARISH WOULD THE BISHOP JUST THROW UP HIS HANDS AND SAY "NO" OR WOULD HE BE WILLING TO WORK WITH THEM ????? OR, IS THE REAL REASON, BECAUSE THE BISHOP DOES NOT WANT A SOLELY BLACK PARISH IN THE DIOCESE. I AM NOT ONE TO FOCUS ON RACE , BUT THE THOUGHT DOES COME INTO MY MIND. OUR CHURCH DOORS ARE OPEN TO ALL NATIONALITIES, BECAUSE CATHOLICISM IS NOT ABOUT WHAT COLOR YOU ARE, IT'S GOD'S HOUSE OF WORSHIP TO EVERYONE. I FEEL PERSONALLY HURT BY THE BISHOPS FIRM NEGATIVE DECISION BECAUSE AT MY BLESSED AGE OF 70 YEARS OLD, OUR LADY OF DIVINE SHEPHERD HAS BEEN "MY LIFE TIME PARISH" WHERE I WENT TO GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR 8 YEARS FROM KINDERGARTEN THRU 8TH GRADE, GRADUATED AND CONTINUED MY FOUR YEARS AT ST. MARY'S CATHEDRAL HIGH SCHOOL AND WENT TO COLLEGE. I RECEIVED ALL MY SACRAMENTS THERE AND MY CHILDREN. MY GRANDCHILDREN ARE DOING THE SAME. THIS DECISION OF THE BISHOP IS LIKE TEARING DOWN ONES HOME AND MAKING THEM HOMELESS. THIS HURTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO LISTEN TO THE PARISHIONERS CONCERNS OR WORK WITH THEM. JUST SHUT THE DOORS AND HAVE ANOTHER VACANT BUILDING IN THE CITY OF TRENTON, LEAVING DEDICATED PARISHIONERS NO OTHER ROUTE BUT TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER PARISH. THERE IS NO REASON WHY OUR PARISHIONERS SHOULD BE RALLYING OR HOLDING
