Save our Kids’ Scholarships

Please continue this worthwhile program.

Kids need it.

This scholarship is important to me because my son was enrolled in a failing public school before I found out about the scholarship and got him enrolled in SUA. I have seen a complete 360 in my child's behavior and grades. He wants to go to school and he wants to learn, he has even started attending church. Without this scholarship my son will lose a lot more than funding, he'll lose himself.

The school where my wife is working is closing this coming school year 2020-2021. Our daughter's scholarship is a big help for us financially. Thank you so much. God bless us all!

Please use the emergency education fund to renew and give out new scholarships. This so important for the future of my nicey, nephew, and grandchildren. Please help don't let them and other scholarship recipients down.

THIS PROGRAM HAS HELPED THE ADVANCEMENT OF SO MANY STUDENTS THAT DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE RESOURCES NEEDED FOR THEM TO ADVANCE FULLY IN THEIR ACADEMICS. THIS PROGRAM HAS ALSO HELPED PREVENT CHILDREN FROM HAVING LOW SELF ESTEEM AND HAS RESCUED MANY YOUNG CHILDREN FROM BEING BULLIED AND COMMITTING SUICIDE OR EVEN FALLING INTO MAKING BAD DECISIONS THAT WOULD LEAD THEM TO DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL OR EVEN JAIL. PLEASE CONSIDER CONTINUING THIS PROGRAM FOR THE FUTURE OF THE NEXT GENERATION. WE THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Hello Governor Ivey,. I thank you for your time and the leadership you have shown over our precious state of Alabama. I am submitting my petition to request the Alabama Opportunity Scholarship and other education funding remains open throughout the changes we face as we recover from the Covid19 pandemic. On behalf if my community at Webb and along side others, I ask that funding remain and that all other options are offered to protect the education of our future leaders. We appreciate your efforts on the Bicentennial Celebration and especially from Webb, Alabama as we had the opportunity to celebrate together. My son Destin goes to Webb. He is part of the enrichment program with Mrs. Karen Mann. He was accepted to Houston Academy and my youngest son is not far behind him. Our future leaders need the best education to help in future crisis or pandemic situation. Please fully fund education to help our future leaders continue on to be our great leaders if the future!!! I see the impacts of the SGO scholarships first hand with our parents. These students are thriving at our school and in this environment. To remove them would be a hardship on the family.
