Gov. Ivy, please consider using some of the disaster relief funds to help cover the scholarship program.

My children are not currently recipients of this scholarship, however I am looking forward to the opportunity for them to become a recipient, so in order for that to happen I must do my part by signing this petition so that my children and many more have a chance to benefit from such a great program.

My kids were bullied in public school they need to remain where they are. My son is going to his senior year and had been in private school since the 3rd grade. This scholarship matters and it will hurt not just my children but many many others.

My daughter Imogene Flavors has been on the scholarship 3 years. Without it I wouldn’t have been able to send my daughter to a better school because the school she came from was a failing school. I am hoping to give my 9 year old the same opportunity so please help out.

The scholarships are extremely important to hundreds of families across the state of Alabama and it would be a shame to see those kids loose this funding, as it is the only way that many children in low-income families will ever have an opportunity to leave failing schools and get a better education. I would sign this petition one hundred times!

Gov. Ivey Prior to 2018, my daughter was bullied several times in the public schools. She's also have autism. Some of the teachers neglect the fact that she had an IEP and needed some additional help. This cause her grades to fail. Being a disabled parent, this scholarship is very important. My daughter attends Success Unlimited Academy and she very happy and her grades have improved. I don't have to worry about the bullying. Her teachers are very nice, caring and concerned about my child. Thank you for the scholarships.

I was so hurt when I open this email up..My heart drop every year I receive an email like this..My daughter needs this scholarship this school Ephesus Academy is all she knows. Their academics & curriculum is breath taking you will never get this type of learning /teaching these teachers offer.. I can not afford to pay . I can not afford to send her to public school and what I mean by that I can not afford to send her somewhere where the learning style is so different and she not use to & will miss so many skills , I can’t afford to take God out her life daily where she has daily devotion & do morning worship & Bible , I can’t afford for her to get bully because of her hazel eyes because at her school they don’t bother her about that.. My heart is broken it’s already broken because of what’s going on with Covid & we over here trying to survive ! This has added to more stress being quarantined in the house knowing that your child may can’t go back to her school when she already left w/o notice because of this Covid and DIDNT get a chance to do any Goodbyes & now this ! I’m a heartbroken single mom right about now..I really pray this don’t happen & she will see fit that everything we hope for with this scholarship we need it desperately for our child to attend the school we need them to & not to a public school.. Thanks ..
