It's about preserving our heritage. The signs are also aesthetically pleasing and compliment the beauty of the beach - why take them down?

I’ve been a proud Polar Bear since 2016 and since then recruited 6 proud Polar Bears. Please make the sign a permanent fixture. Thank you.

It's important to make sure the sign remains. The polar bears are a Martha's Vineyard legacy. I have several family members that are proud Martha's Vineyard polar bears, including myself! It's a part of our heritage and needs to be celebrated!

I am part of this legacy. Please put the Inkwell Beach signs back up so that our children, grandchildren, and loved ones will know the history of the beach even after we are gone.

These signs are a major part of OB’s culture and history and they also serve to educate those who will never learn about the rich history from the books. Please keep these signs posted! Thank you!
