It would be sad to see someone close an Olympic venue that has served and is currently serving so many patrons. From hockey and ice skating to open skating for the public, the Peaks Ice Arena has been a wonderful place to gather with family and friends.

Just another dumb ass decision by congress. This venue has been a staple in Utah county for many years. This rink supports hockey, soccer, figure skating, school, work and family events. This is a place where everyone is welcome. For once it would be nice for politicians to listen to the people. This place is more than just a rink, it's family.

My family and I grew up going to this rink and we still frequent it. It would be a mistake in many levels to shut it down.

Closing an Olympic Venue in a Winter Sport state is an embarrassment and a display of the shortsightedness of politicians in our county. I feel like the users have been blindsided by this action. Surely partnering with those that use and grow these sports in searching for solutions would have been more appropriate than such a community damaging decision.

The last thing Utah needs is one less outlet to find and play hockey. I play here, and hope to watch my kids play here. How is the sport suppose to grow if the only rink in Utah county shuts down? This is a great facility which is run very well, please don't take away peaks!

You know, this rink isn't just used for Hockey! Figure skaters come here too, it is a useful place and if you take it away you're taking my dreams of many including myself to take away the dreams! MY dreams my whole life is gone thanks to you If you take away the rink!

My kids have been playing hockey inside Utah County for 25 seasons since before the Peaks Arena was built. We faught long and hard to finally get a LOCAL indoor rink which we still enjoy and benefit from. All 5 of my kids have played hockey, 4 of which still continue to play; adult league and UVU college team. In addition, my grandson and great nephew play for the youth league at the Peaks Arena. I am just one family with two generations that utilize this facility continually. It would be absolutely devastating to my family and me as well as all of the many many people who utilize this facility for things other than hockey. Lets remember what are priorities are, to provide citizens (especially our youth) within our community, a place to enjoy a good, wholesome local recreational center. I ask that the county please continue to help fund this venue for the the citizens of Utah County. We deserve it!

Opportunities for recreation are (and should be) a fundamental right of the people who support the city and county with their taxes. Please keep the money going to the ice rink and, by extension, to all recreational facilities in Utah County.

My two girls ice skate there. They need to train for competion and shows. The next show is a fundraiser " Skate for Cancer " The other ice arenas are to far. They train almost everyday. If you close Provo Peaks Ice Arera they would have to quit figure skating.
