Save our Hockey Rink

The rink is not a provo only facility. I have used the facility when i lived in Provo, Springville, Spanish Fork, and Saratoga Springs. My kids have learned to ice skate and play hockey here. I came back to hockey after a 10 year leave of absence and it has literally saved my life on a couple of occasions. It would be a shame to close the doors, a complete shame on Bill, Greg, and Nathan.

I have dreamed of being a figure skater since I was in 4th grade and and would watch Nancy Kerrigan. Due to no ice rink in my city, I didn't start that dream until I graduated high school; it is my world! I am in the best shape of my life and I attribute that to skating. I have met my very best of friends at the rink. With the obesity and opioid epidemics hanging over our heads, do you really want to close the doors on other young kids dreams? Many would not be able to afford the distant drive to Salt Lake, myself included. Skating teaches discipline, hard work, and courage to name only a few. With values fading fast from our society, becoming involved in figure skating or hockey can help stem that tide and alter the course of a person's life. Will you be a help or hinder their destiny?

The rink is so valuable to tens of thousands of citizens! You will be lessening the quality of like in Utah County by closing this facility.

This arena means so much to the community and had provided such great opportunities to people of all ages!!

I don't want my dream of playing college hockey at UVU to end because the rink isn't being supported!

We love having an opportunity for affordable and supportive hockey instruction for our youth. Not to mention being able to watch collegiate level hockey. Please rethink this decision.

Where else could people in this area go ice skating? Peaks Ice Arena is a great place with good rinks. I have been there several times and it is a good place for families as well as college students.

Don't do stupid things and petitions won't exist

Where else can I be a bender, and look stupid on the ice with all my friends!?!?!?

We are from Springville & my 12 year old son loves playing hockey. My 10 year old daughter loves to figure skate & skate during free skate. We also go to BYU hockey games! Save the rink!

My brother LOVED playing hockey at this rink. And I enjoyed occasionally going skating there. I'd like to see others have the opportunity of enjoying it.

Please don't close the rink!! I want my son to play for BYU hockey when he goes to BYU in 4 years!

My whole family plays soccer there. From my kids to my in law and all my friends!!! Don't take this away please!!!!

Peaks Ice Arena is a great facility that allows patrons of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy skating and indoor soccer. Hockey and ice skating had not been popular activities in Utah, but luckily with the Olympics came the great facilities to host these events. These are not dilapidated arenas like are found in the wake of the Olympics in other parts of the world; these have been embraced, nourished, valued, and even expanded. There is no reason for the local governments to shun such a useful and fun place like Peaks Ice Arena. The recreation that Peaks provides helps the community stay active (and healthy!) and tightly knit. Please reconsider and continue to support Peaks Ice Arena.
