The rink brings a lot of joy to so many families, youth, and children. Promote the rink and seek ways to increase revenue. Don't abandon it.

The ice rink has gone from a shabby, fading reminder of the Olympics to a robust, bustling building providing recreation and training opportunities to the citizens of Utah County. Please. Keep using my taxes to keep the rink open. The chance for families, youth groups, schools, young athletes, and the rest of the valley to participate in hockey, figure skating, and good ol' falling on your but learning to skate is worth it to me, not to mention the indoor soccer and turf fields that we would lose.

I am a regular hockey player at Peaks Ice Arena and would like to encourage you to maintain public funding for the ice rink. I live in Sandy and come down to Provo rather than stay and play in Salt Lake county.

Our five children have all used this facility multiple times a week for over two years. All my kids learned to skate here and my boys played hockey. My daughter took private skating lessons here. This would be devastating!!

I cannot imagine why you would remove one of the best parts ofProvo. Of this goes away families will move and revenue will be lost.

The Peaks Ice Arena adds value to Provo and surrounding communities. Please consider this before closing such an important venue for so many families in the valley. If this is a financial matter, please get help with increasing revenue before simply giving up. My son played hockey for 10 years there from learning to skate to playing for BYU. My daughter took a class through BYU and learned to play hockey. My husband learned how to skate and play hockey in his 40's and uses skating as an integral part of his exercise routine. He prefers to skate over any other sport. PLEASE don't take this valuable venue and opportunities from us and other families.

I personally don't use this rink but my husband does and I have been there for many different occasions apart from watching him. I think this rink adds diversity to the community. There are people who like to skate and play hockey who really depend on this rink for relaxation as well as comfort. You cans get that anywhere else close to here and it's painful to think that it might be taken away. People depend on lots of different things to relax and distress and it isn't right to take it away because it's not the most popular form of recreation. It's plenty busy every time I have been. Which is a lot. I think the rink and facility need to stay.
