I know too many children that use this rink for practice. It would be detrimental to not fund this establishment.

Ice rinks are a nessesity to ice skaters and are a great and fun source of exercise. Many people agree we should not close this rink down. This is many people's way to exercise and have fun. We need to keep the rink.

All it would take to turn this around would be for the Peaks to offer Provo School District schools free skating lessons as part of their phys. ed. curriculum. The Peaks would be overflowing with paying skaters after that.

We love the ice arena. We have skated there several times as a family, and just a few days ago for a work party. Our children have played indoor soccer there, we have gone there to watch friends compete in skating competitions, we have enjoyed hocky games there. Please find a way to continue to support this important location in our community.

Hockey is an amazing part of growing up for many people. It can teach life skills that can prepare one for other aspects in life. Taking away any sports facility from a community is a bad move. Especially one that the community is proud of being a 2002 Olympic Venue.
