I know people personally affected by this, so I'm showing my support all the way from Kansas. Sports are important in any community, for kids, adults, everybody. To take away this opportunity to grow such a great team sport like hockey is a travesty.

7 High school hockey teams spread from Spanish Fork to Saratoga Springs. 22 adult league teams. Futsal teams, Ice dancing - all of whom come from all over the county to participate in activities for a unique venue. It's the ONLY rink in the entire state that's south of the Murray/West Valley/Olympic Oval trio. Worth saving. Especially for a measly 20% of the operating costs. Shame on Utah County Commissioners.

This facility is crucial and enjoyed by residents through our entire state!! I've played soccer there since the turf fields opened managing multiple teams in multiple leagues nonstop. Most of my players do not live in Provo city.
I've also managed my own hockey team in the league there for the last 2 years consistently. Most my players do not live in Provo city. Many of my team mates also attend the Adult Skills hockey classes, including myself. None of us live in Provo city. I own homes in both Provo and Orem, but I live in Orem and I've utilized this facility for nearly a decade.

We are an active family retiring from military soon and Provo is in the short list to come for second career/ military retirement. If the rink goes away, Provo is off the list. Please keep the rink!

I'm a Utah native who has been living in the Bay Area for several years now. We lost two ice rinks here in recent years due to funding disputes or development proposals. The developments didn't happen, and the city/county officials who disputed funding have now admitted their mistake in letting recreational facilities close. The effect on youth and adult hockey programs, figure skating programs, and public recreation has been devastating. Don't close Peaks Ice Arena. I promise you will regret it.

I am not from Utah County, but have spent countless hours at this rink with my two young boys who both play hockey. I have spent money into your County by eating at your restaurants and filling up at your gas stations that I wouldn't have done other wise, you would be losing other economic benefits by pulling the funding for this rink.
