This is a shame!!! We have had children participate in indoor futsal, public skate and my husband has been in hockey leagues for years. Such a sad thing to have our community lose this!! Do not close seven peaks ice arena!!!

I love going to skate or to watch the BYU Hockey team play! And some say that more citizens from outside of Provo but within the county use it than Provo citizens. Please step up our 3 county commissioners!

They should not take it away, it's a good wholesome activity to go ice skating and hockey teams practice there.

As a parent of a youth hockey player I can't express how sad it makes me to think that this rink might close.

We currently don't live in Provo but have had the pleasure compete in the arena and watch shows put on by members of this community. Please don't pull the funding. This arena gives kids an opportunity to develop talents, grow as individuals and get skills that will help them give back to the community. We have just relocated and our new town does not have a skating rink yet we will see what we can do to travel to the nearest rink which is two hours away. This is how much I believe in the programs offered through community ice centers.

Hockey is the greatest game on earth. As someone from the Northeast where hockey thrives, I am happy to see it growing across the US in towns both big and small.
Taking away this Ice Rink will prevent this wonderful game from growing. Hockey gives kids and adults the chance to stay fit, health, make friends and stay away from drugs.
I urge you to reconsider your decision.

Skating is one of the best things that happened to my disabled granddaughter.
Salt Lake County runs a very successful Skating Rink in Murray, Utah. Maybe they would be willing to assist with ideas on how they run their program.

Closing this rink denies the residents of the Provo area a place to learn, recreate and enjoy. The contract was signed, so please adhere to what was promised in past years.

Really Utah County!! Do you realize what you even have with that facility? Cities spend millions for facilities like that to give back to there community. Provo you have lousy facilities for your citizens so step up in a bigger way.

This rink provided me with a great outlet for personal development after I had my first child and before I had my second. I did the Learn to Skate class and was able to fulfill a childhood dream and actually learn how to stake backward and spin on the ice. I lived in Orem at the time, and I currently live in Spanish Fork. The Provo Peaks Arena provides quality entertainment and activity options for youth and families all throughout Utah County, not just in Provo. It is a great asset to the whole community of Utah County. It's not feasible for many of those who use the facility to go up to Salt Lake to use the rink there. Not to mention it's in a college town and close to another and provides a lot of resources. Please reconsider your decision to pull funding from the Peaks Ice Arena. It preserves family values by creating family fun and it is a part of the history of Provo. Thank you.
