We the students of Gloria Rodriguez Rivera here at Lamar High school believe that one who shirks her duties to her students, to Lamar, and to herself, is not fit to be a teacher here at this prestigious school. She has time and time again fallen behind on her job as a teacher. Most recently she, who was “too tired by the time she got home,” gave everyone zeros for assignments that they have done. Assignments that they turned in on time. And the phrase “everyone” is not an exaggeration. If you don’t believe us then please feel free to check.

We do not ask that you fire her immediately. Our futures, our lives, are being destroyed due to a teacher who was “too tired.” We are not a bunch of kids attempting to get free grades. We are merely humble, hard-working students who are using our right to protest in an attempt to save our futures. So that we may better help our community and others as adults.
