(Save OUR Fish) Cormorant Population Control needed throughout the U.S.

I don't want to see our world class fishery go by the wayside to the commercial fishermen... Or the birds! Put on a new season and maybe draw in some more people to the hunting scene to make some additional revenue for the state of Michigan. Thanks for the consideration

I walleye fish Saginaw Bay, Lake Erie and Salmon and Trout fish Lake Michigan. These cormorants eat huge amounts of the small sports fish that inhabit all the areas I fish. They take thousands of perch out of the ecosystem per bird. I feel these birds are in the top five dangers to our Great Lakes Sportfisheries right along with the Asian Carp. It is time to “”drastically “” reduce or even remove these birds. Open a season on them, kill them, and do it soon. Thank you!

Please start to control these neucence birds, the health of the fish population and the fishing industry depend on it.

Our Columbia River salmonids are being decimated resulting in historic low returns. These birds need to be managed!

Population control is needed extensively! The south end of lake michigan fishery is absolutely changed because of these fish eaters! They helped eat up the gobies. But they also helped eat up the bait fish and perch population. Its time for change! Bring back the fishery. They kill all the habitat around them.

They need to go, invasive species destroying fish populations and landscape.

I agree Therese Commorants need to be brought into check. We are seeing as many of them as we are ducks and or geese on our lakes in North west Pennsylvania

the cormorant population is way out of control. I have seen one eat a 15 inch walleye in one gulp and go back for more.all that would be needed is to allow waterfowl hunters to harvest some of them and it wont cost the state anything to thin them out.

There are too many cormorants with no control. Each nest has at least 4 eggs which, if hatched, exponentially increase the population. These birds eat our sport fish. The sport fish are responsible for many dollars in the economy, in turn generating tax revenue.
