Let’s get this done! Comorant’s will destroy more than just our fishery, if left untouched will cripple a hefty chunk of our state’s economy. I’ve seen flocks of these birds in action and it’s sickening. A no brainer ladies and gentleman!!

They are an invasive bird/duck and destroy any habitats they nest on and destroy the fish population. I will bet any congress person that had an island in front of their house would quickly act to fix this issue. Just have an open season on them, no extra money would be spent on bureaucracy or committees or policing - would JUST resolve the issue! Thank

These things are way out of control. We need to get this problem under control. Please take a closer look into the Cormorant problem . These things eat thousands of fish daily. And I'm only aloud to keep 25 perch daily if your lucky enough to catch a good dozen. Thanks for your help.

The rise in cormorants in recent years has show, I have them in ditches near munger eating the perch fry to the point where the puke them up when they fly, they will destroy if not already our perch and bait fish population. Something needs to be done now!

We can hunt pretty ducks that i don't know of any harm they really cause but we can't hunt this ugly agressive invasive species!? Come on let us control the population and save more fish that us and the government put our hard earned money into. The outdoors are a big part of the economy, the natural resource depts stock fish for everyone that pays a good deal of money into our licences and many related costs of enjoying our hobby. Yet let this nasty bird devistate those plantings, makes no sense!

They are destroying perch populations on Lake Huron and decimating alewives, smelt and salmon and trout plants on Lake Michigan. On an avg year I will see groups of 10-20 birds offshore on Lake Michigan two to three times a day and coming into to port “Frankfort “ there would be anywhere from fifty to a hundred and fifty on the south inner pier and beach area. This bird alone is decimating fish populations in all the Great Lakes and now I’m seeing serious damage being done on our in land lakes. I duck hunt besides fish so I’m on the water more than most and I’m seeing perch being wiped out on my local lake and almost every non pond I’m seeing groups of 4-6 birds while duck hunting the state of Michigan. In my opinion they should be taken to the brink of extinction with extreme prejudice.
