(Save OUR Fish) Cormorant Population Control needed throughout the U.S.

At the point where I'm thinking about buying a 10 pump BB gun with a scope to get rid of these buggers. Absolutely destroying the ecosystem eating 10 lb of fish a day. Rats nipple and these things are a freaking plague! If anyone wants to join me in California, I'm game!

Cormorants are damaging our fisheries, polluting our water, land and air. Their guano kills the flora and fauna in any location where the roost. What is their benefit to the environment? Their populations need to be eliminated to a level where the ecology is able to recover and come back into balance again.

These birds are well over populated in the lake erie area. I see large flocks of these birds on the lake. The surrounding states bring in millions and millions of dollars from fishermen, duck hunters, fuel for boats, sales taxes from boats sales, tackle sales,lodging, diving and so on. These birds are a potentially a danger to fish populations that could eventually cause poor fish populations , and less fishermen, which would damage the popular lake erie fishing in which would cost these surrounding states large losses in people comming from other states to fish in the great lake erie, and a large drop in the funds comming into the states and taxes paid . Please consider doing population control on these birds .

Ive been fishing in michigan since i was 5 years old actually since birth, but to hear about the cormorant damages that are effecting the great lakes fisheries, i do believe something needs to be done, i moved to the gulf coast in 05 to get away from the cold winter weather as i am severe chronic asthmatic, but i do come back for 6 months every summer to fish and see family, i would certainly think that something can be done to preserve our WINTER WATER WONDERLAND. I THANK YOU DEARLY FOR HEARING ME OUT, PLEASE SAVE OUR FISHERIES

Cormorants have done a number on the fish population in the Georgian Bay in Canada as well. Bass and pan fish have been devastated. At one time these birds were protected at expense of game fish. They devastate an area once they invade it!

We need cormorant control. They are at a population level that is out of balance with the fish in our rivers and lakes.

Same here on Old Hickory Lake Tn.. There are thousands here. Have also destroyed several islands.

Too many of these birds below Pickwick Dam on the Tennessee river. Over a hundred in one roost.

Something has to be done about these fish eating machines. They have severely damaged Lake Jordan Al.

I have personally seen the havoc these birds cause all over different bodies of water across the country. Action needs to be taken before the damage gets any worse.

They’re ruining the fishery as well as the islands on the lake.

These things are destroying habitat. They roost in colonies and kill the trees and vegetation with their feces.

Their population needs controlled.
