Raintree is a residential subdivision adjacent to Winwood and Emerald Forest. It does not make sense to locate a college campus there.

As a resident of Emerald Forest subdivision, I oppose the proposal to locate a campus of Blinn College near our neighborhood. Bryan has better available sites that would not disrupt a residential community. Thank you.

We moved to our neighborhood in raintree for the peaceful atmosphere and family friendly environment. We love that it is an established quiet neighborhood of families, retirees, professionals and lower student population. We do not want this peaceful environmentt gone due to Blinn moving its campus here....Choose the Bryan Location that makes more sense traffic wise, infrastructure wise, and safety wise and keeps students in student housing to meet their special needs and families in their quiet neighborhoods to meet our needs. We bought in this location not in another due to the neighborhood and it not being student populated and do not want to loose what we have worked hard to continue here with our special location. WE DO NOT want the Blinn campus almost on top of our quiet family neighborhoods.

Students will undoubtedly use St. Thomas Aquinas' church parking lot to park and to cut through in order to get to North Forest Rd. Emerald Forest will see an increase in traffic, especially along Emerald Pkwy and Appomattox. Further, CS will most definitely need to invest in sets of traffic lights at the bypass and FM 2818/Emerald Forest Pkwy. Further, civil engineers should be utilized to ensure that neighborhood residents have the ability to be reached and to exit in emergency. There is a very limited number of through roads for the neighborhoods and increased traffic could make things dangerous.

We all need to be concerned and ubited in keeping our neighborhoods family oriented and peaceful. If we had wanted to live among students we absolutely would not havecmovedcin these neighborhoods.

Please leave this part of College Station peaceful and without the traffic Blinn would bring.

For 20 years, Emerald Forest has been my home--a place of peace and rest. Please keep it that way. No Blinn, no fooling!
Having Blinn College in an area of family neighborhoods is a bad idea. The interests of the students and of the family neighborhoods cannot amicably coexist. Locate the new Blinn campus in Bryan.

No way did I buy a home in Carter's Crossing to have this happen. Parents who buy homes for their student kids do not care about the families in those neighborhoods. They only care about how much money they can save and what they will make off the house when they sell it. They ARE NOT the ones having to live by their kids. WE - YOU are!!!

Besides the inconsiderate affect to the surrounding traffic and real estate, I would hope that Blinn opts to choose to expand in Bryan as it seems the wiser and better fit for Blinn.

Concentrate Blin resources in one campus, otherwise you are promoting additional traffic.

I strongly support this petition. The whole reason I moved into this neighborhood was because it was essentially devoid of the issues associated with young adults (I.e., renters, unkept homes and yards, parties, parking issues, etc,).

My husband and I purchased our home in Emerald Forest 26 years ago. We chose this subdivision because it was located in a quiet area away from the TAMU campus. While we understand the need for Blinn College to expand its campus facilities, we feel having this campus in such close proximity to these well-established neighborhoods will impact us negatively in the following ways: 1) Increased traffic along the bypass, Emerald Forest Parkway, Appomattox, North Forest, and Sandstone. 2) Homes sold or turned into rental property for those who can afford to relocate. 3) Decrease in property values. 4) Lower quality of life. 5) Increase in crime – who will provide law enforcement? 6) Increase in fast-food businesses, which are visually unappealing. 7) Noise pollution. I currently work at the proposed relocation site. This location is ill suited for a transient student body population. I am vehemently opposed to the planned relocation of Blinn College to this site. DON'T use the Lynn Tech building location for a Blinn campus. This location will intensify the traffic issues at the intersection of Eearl Rudder Fwy and 2818.
