Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools has suspended sports indefinitely for the Fall Season. This was done with out any feed back from athletes or their families. However, we have counties in the state of North Carolina such as Union County, one of the largest districts in NC have resumed their workouts and are making plans for a season.
We are asking that Charlotte Mecklenburg school district allow our parents to decide whether or not to allow us to play sports in the fall and not them! This board has taken away any chance of day to day contact in schools and now have decided to take away our sport too! For many of us our sport is a vehicle to the next level in our life. Please help us in removing this road block.

This is my last year of highschool and I would love to play football, the sport that I love so much just to be out on that field going to war with my brothers and I get this whole pandemic going around and that y’all are trying to keep us safe and everything but please don’t do this to the upcoming seniors
It is outrageous that a virus proven to be non transmittable outdoors, and one that is almost zero risk to our children , is stripping them of athletics. The mental health ramifications are far more deadly than Coronavirus. Stop making this about politics, and make it about the real health of our youth.

Get the kids back to school and sports, just do it responsibly-distancing, sanitation, shift scheduling, etc
I am one of the upcoming players and this year I could possibly earn a scholarship to go to school for free! Having all 4 season of fill for any player could help & not having a season would hurt some players like me
We NEED FOOTBALL
With proper safety precautions in place the kids should be allowed to participate in their sport. It’s important to them now and in the future.

If the NFL and NBA are playing without a crowd, allow are kids to play. Some depend on this to attend college and are deserving of this. If we can all go to walmart, left play some ball.
