The other group should choose another day weekly. Why compete. If they offer it on another day there's more opportunities throughout the week. Strange that they want to compete on the same night. Makes no sense to me.

Supporting musicians during these times is important, but why put them in direct competition with each other? MoM has been a successful downtown offering of entertainment for many years. Please let them stay and use proceeds to further support enjoyable activities in downtown west bend. Please consider another day for Homegrown, which would then support both parties and let them each experience their greatest success while both are providing west bend residents more options of enjoyable musical activities to attend.

This would negatively impact all downtown business, which cannot be afforded in this difficult economic time

Homegrown needs to choose a different day of the week for their events, our community is too small to fully support 2 large similar social events .

I am a new business owner in downtown West Bend. Please help support the livelihood of the small businesses downtown. The DWBA brings not only entertainment for Music on Main, they run an amazing Farmer’s Market and other events that bring many customers to the businesses. While I greatly appreciate music in the park, please look into a different night of the week.

Please do not undermine the Music on Main event. This is the "cultural glue" that creates a vibrant community.

I am not from West Bend, nor have I ever lived in West Bend, however I am a concerned citizen of a community neighboring West Bend. It seems that Homegrown would negatively impact, and perhaps become an existential threat to West Bend's beloved Farmers Market - a Farmers market that is rated among the top in the United States - a true local gem. Holding an event that puts this as well as the preservation and revitalization of downtown West Bend in jeopardy, even in the name of charity, seems like the opposite of what Homegrown would want to do - which is to help communities. At very least, Homegrown should be looking for ways to work with DWBA so as not to cut into their vital revenue stream. DWBA is important to West Bend, and the citizens of West Bend should support its longevity. Both the DWBA and Homegrown have very respectable missions, and as reported, the survival of DWBA is dependent on the events it hosts - whereas Homegrown's survival is not dependent on what happens in West Bend. If the DWBA is lost, so is a part of West Bend. This is your community. Stand up for it. If Homegrown is serious about helping the community, they should not destroy an organization that keeps the community hopping, regardless of the merits of their mission. DWBA is West Bend's own. Homegrown is apparently out of Connecticut (based on their mailing address displayed on their website). Homegrown is able to fulfill its mission in many ways without hurting local organizations - in West Bend and elsewhere. With a proposal for similar events on the same days in the same community, it sounds to me that they wish to take funds that would otherwise go to a truly local non-profit organization and redistribute them to the charities and organizations of their own choosing. Might Homegrown create a better event? Perhaps - But they might not create a better West Bend. I would prefer to see a thriving downtown West Bend year round than a second/simultaneous music festival on summer

Music on Main is great. Giving Homegrown a chance to entertain on a different night at Regner Park would be awesome!
