This is NOT OK at any level!! If they cant do the right thing which is required by general public they shouldn't be aloud to fulfil these position's/ job's... Either sort it or fire there arses & get people who well!!

Please listen to BOI Watchdogs who want to change the pounds there , your practices are terrible FNDC you need to come clean for the sake of these dogs in your care.

It’s NOT OK to leave a dog in a cage for days or weeks without taking it out for exercise.
It’s NOT OK to have one of the worst kill rates in New Zealand.
It’s NOT OK to have more and more dogs dying in the pound.
It’s NOT OK to send healthy dogs to be euthanised when you still have space in the pound.
It’s NOT OK not to have warm bedding for dogs when it’s freezing at night.
It’s NOT OK to promise a Council rehoming service by end October 2017, then put up ONE dog on the FNDC website in May 2018.
It’s NOT OK to have NO basic procedures and policies for the pounds for over a decade, until the SPCA demands you do it.
It’s NOT OK to have breached the Dog Code of Welfare for over 7 years.
It’s NOT OK to ignore what the SPCA Inspector tells you to do for months, and months, and months.
It’s NOT OK !
YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW !

Animal Welfare in this country is 3rd world just with 1st world wrapping. We can't let animals suffer. A really good saying is "the way I do anything is the way I do everything.

You are not a law to yourselves do as requested you are running a pound it should be accountable for the dogs welfare needs and rehoming. Do the right thing or get out of the job.

Sounds like it’s all about money laziness and convenience. Easier to kill than take care of and re home. After all you have to feed, clean cages, groom, manage websites, temperament test, interview and home visit etc. so much easier to just kill and get the money. More profit for them and less hassle with dogs roaming for the council! So wrong!

Golden Rule! Treat others the way you want to be treated! That includes Animals!! Make him spend a week sleeping in the pound with no bedding or warmth!
