Please always remember that not all the victims have voices.There are plenty of people who help the humans who cares about the poor animals?I belief you should never treat any living creature in a way you wouldn’t want to be treated yourself.We need people to get that message out. Couldn't get my microchipped vaccinated dog from pound as they are shut Sunday. Nearly lost him to a strain of kennel cough caught from pound due to horrific standards. Never received a call from then, what's the point of registration and microchipping.

We are all about having a voice for those that can't speak. This is one of those times where enough is enough . The Animal Welfare Act was put in place for just this reason. No animal should ever suffer , be neglected, or die unnecessarily which is what is happening now. Let's stop this now and be a voice for all these poor innocent animals, and make the FNDC comply with all demands made to right the terrible wrong that they have been doing all these years. Shame on you FNDC it's disgusting.

I am shocked at the Council's lack of care for our dog community. There are ridiculously few areas where we can exercise our dogs. This is a rural area and yet our dogs are worse off here than urban Auckland!

Please think outside the box, FNDC; you could easily move to working towards being a no kill shelter - get the support of the SPCA, and look into Nathan Wynograd's writings for inspiration. The Northland dogs deserve better - make that change!
