Please dont let this club close it has been a vibrant part of the community for many years if it is allowed to close parishioners of the church may go nearer home worship causing decline to the parish I have seen it happening before to st wilfreds in hulme

I or should I say we used to go to lots of family celebrations and nights out in there and it’s still in use as far as I’m aware.Keep greedy developers off it.

I went to the club regularly for over 30 years and it was a real boon to the Irish and English communities in south Manchester. The club has plenty of life left in it, why close it?

This pub has been a hotspot in my whole family from weddings to funerals to christening after parts are held here closing it down is a travesty

English martyrs can not close! It just can’t. Too many memories, amazing venue and just that warm Irish welcome

Too many of these clubs have gone. My dear dad died recently, not before shouting at the parish priest when his local club closed that the only place left for him and his mates to meet up was the local cemetery. The clubs are a lifeline to the older generation in particular . The diocese should put people before profits
