Not from the Cabra community myself but both my mother and father are from Cabra along with a lot of my own friends . You can see how much of an asset to the community the club is and the storys of sucess which began their first chapter within the walls of the club . Clubs like this are lifelines to communitys . Yes not everyone uses the facility but for those that do this is a place they can call home , get a break from reality keep positive and keep on a good path in an area like my own which many of lads tend to get sucked in by a bad lifestyle and end up trapped by their own demons and peers . I know one of the clubs star fighters personally and what can i say about this chap . Unfortunatley i first met him when we were about 14 and not before hand because since ive known him and watch him grow as a fighter and a man has been great . Im sure the club had a great input under his great parents because he is one of the most head strong men i know and personally try to take some of his attitude on board . For a man that could kill you with his bare hands he is a gentleman and has a very positive outlook on things from big to small . This is the difference an assit like KKC is to the community if we all had an attitude to life like this and the rest of the clubs members the world would be a much better place . If its making any impact for the community and its people its as said an assit which belongs in the community and should be preserved for future kids and people alike to enjoy and beneift from . The owners of the land should be privilaged theyve got something like KKC which they provide the building for .

KKC is an immensely valuable asset for the young people of Cabra and should remain so. It would be a travesty if we were to lose.

When are the council going to put money into facilities for our young people. There's too much development of apartments in this area.

I was in KKC for a couple of years up to 2013 and the family spirit in this club is next level and memories I will keep forever, it keeps kids off the streets and gives them a chance to get into the ring, I am currently back training here 3 days a week and the atmosphere is still the same as it was with a lot of old and new faces, we need to keep this club in our community.

It's clubs like this and their activities that give the youth self belief,pride and respect.It keeps them off the streets and gets them involved in a positive way of life.
