I usually vote Democratic, but the Robert E. Lee monument is an historical piece of art. I don't live anywhere near the South and I feel strongly. Can citizens put an initiative on the ballot reinstating the monuments?
Shame on those who would tear down the monuments. This has driven a wedge between citizens - all because of thosee who would rewrite history in favor of current politics. Usee that negative energy to honor those in your community who also deserve monuments.
THIS MAYOR IS SO AFRAID OF THE ETHNIC BLACKS WILL START A RAISE RIOT IF THE BLACKS DON'T GET THEIR WAY........HAPPENING ACROSS AMERICA NOT JUST HERE. OBAMA OPENED PANDORAS BOX AND THERE WILL BE NO END THE BALCKS WANT EMPOWERMENT AND MORE....
Leave the memorials alone; they are part and parcel of the beautiful city of New Orleans.
If we let the liberals and history revisionist start in New Orleans, where will it end? Taking down the Jefferson and Washington Monuments in Washington DC because they were slave owners? What about Mt Rushmore? Blasting off the faces of Washington and Jefferson and replacing them with Oblabla and Clinton? STOP THEM NOW!!!

As a life long resident of New Orleans I am disturbed by the removal of our historical landmarks monuments here in New Orleans, la
