This program allows families to be in charge of medical care and to keep disabled members at home. It would be a shame to stop it. I know pati Sigman and this had been a life saver for her family and many other like her. It would be a shame to put these disabled people in a medical facility when family can do it better and more lovingly. Please keep this program in effect for people like ms Sigman so they can take care of their family members that need it.

I personally know a young man and his family that I’m signing this for. They deserve to be championed for!

I support this mission to allow services to keep going. I also have a son who is handicap and has cerebral palsy and struggled daily with just normal activities of daily living and if it were not for me being able to be home with him he would be forced to be in a nursing home and programs like this make it a safe place for kids/family members to stay home with loved ones.

People with disabilities should be first to receive care. This should not even be considered as a place to make cutbacks.

My daughter uses these services and it benefits her, her seven siblings, me, her personal assistant and her six child, all while saving over half a million in tax payer dollars per year.

Please put your family in the shoes of a family that benefits from SDS. Please consider the ramifications of this new bill and how it would affect those families with disabilities. I'm praying that you will prayerfully consider those it would affect.

These cuts would negatively impact many disabled and their families. There are other places budget cuts make sense. Self directed services isn’t one of them.

This needs to be fully funded for the protection and rights of the disabled. They cannot work or speak for themselves and MUST be able to rely on their community for FULL support. If you were in this position, what would you do ?! How would you cope? How would you speak for yourself? What if you were non verbal ?! Every life matters!!! Not just yours or a fully capable person. Every life is precious and deserves support.
