Shame on Kirklees if they let this happen to a fantastic swim club which our children love

These are excellent swimming classes, I've been bringing my grand children to the Salendine Nook class for years. They're always busy and the children learn quickly due to the wonderful teachers. Surely, for the safety of our children we need to keep these classes running?

This seems like a no-brainer; if you have heavily-subscribed classes, bringing good footfall to the local businesses in those areas on Sundays, and you have good and valued teachers, whose courses provide youngsters not only with the life skill of being able to swim, but also social skills, resilience skills and confidence, surely you would find the flexibility in local community budgets, to provide the necessary caretaker position - and fill it. “What you can do is often simply a matter of what you will do.” Norton Juster

My children are just beginning to make progress and build confidence in the water. I'm so disappointed that the sessions will end. The team of swimming instructors are all just excellent.

My two children love going to the swim lessons. My son when he started used to cry the whole session but the staff persisted with him & kept him in the pool the whole hour- that lasted about a month (1 hour a week lessons) now he has just started swimming with arm bands on his. The intense week courses are fantastic & they learn so much. I've seen children start in the bottom & by the end of the week they are getting loads of badges. Swimming is an important life saving skill to learn.

Anita and her family taught my children to swim in an intensive week session, such an invaluable life lesson, i know a lot of families in huddersfield have been taught to swim by Anita and her team, theres no other classes that has the knack that Anita and her team do
