Keep children swimming

My children went to these classes some years ago. Anita provides an excellent service. Please don’t close it down!

Need these in our town

Kirklees, you should be ashamed as a council and provider to the local community, when inactivity amongst young persons is growing apace you make it even more difficult - the decisions makers of this situation should been held to account, how can persons in rather well paid positions make such idiotic moves. If this club folds I will ensure that I do not support Kirklees in their leisure provision thanks to their lack of endeavour to enhance and provide a varied range of providers in the area. Hugely disappointing news, there is always a way to make it work - just try a little harder. Salendine Nook swim club is a great provider with great coaches and this should not be lost. From the dad of a sad little boy now soon to be without swimming lessons.

For my granddaughter, the swimming club was brilliant. She has developed into a probable competition swimmer. So sad to see it closing because of council cuts.

We have been coming to Anita’s swim club now for almost 2 yrs and my little boy has progressed so much in this swim club. But as a parent I love the flexibility that Anita and her club provides, and there is no where in kirklees or Halifax that provides such a service .

We come all the way from barnsley for these lessons.

Please save our swim club. It is so important to our family. The amazing staff have got my children swimming and it is a massive part of their lives. The staff care and are dedicated to their jobs giving the children the life skills they need. Please please save this swimming club.

My children learnt to swim here 20 years ago. They loved it and they are now both life savers.

Please don't stop swimming for Salendine Nook

This class has brought my grandchildren’s swimming confidence on in leaps and bounds. The instructors are second to none.

Disgusting behaviour from the lettings company!

Salendine Nook Swimming Club is fantastic and I will be so sad to see it close! The instructors are so good with the children. I can’t imagine taking them anywhere else!!

I hope something gets sorted for all concerned it would really leave too many children without a club where affordable ,friendly

This is so sad, Anita Murgatroyd has been teaching so many children to swim in recent years. This is an essential skill that all children need to be taught!
