Finances dictate many decisions in life. They have place, no business in the health care and life-savine efforts for a child.

This is a GREAT team!!!

There is no way that you can maintain the “top notch” care for your patients when you remove the top notch team.

Please don’t devalue medical professionals

I have followed this mother and daughter and as a nurse was amazed at he care provided.

Stop cutting back health care

My son has been a patient at Children's Mercy for 13 years, primarily in the Pulmonary department. I cannot imagine worse timing than during a pandemic getting rid of your well seasoned PICU physicians. My family has been living in fear since March desperately trying to keep us from getting the virus. My son's lungs are not healthy and never will be. Simple viruses like Hand Foot Mouth has caused him to be ambulanced up to your hospital 3 hours away because it made him so sick. We live in Rural South East Kansas. We can't get him treated here. Not only do they have no idea how to treat my son, our pediatric pulmonologist would never allow him to get complicated treatment at a rural hospital. He's at high risk with rare interstitial lung disease. The possibility of needing the PICU with Covid for him is great. Please reconsider. Fix this another way. Sarah Ince Mom to Wesley Ince, age 14

As a mother of a chronically ill young adult, I pray this department is not torn apart, BUT is look at, for how crucial each person is in the care team to anyone in the PICU. I wish I had a hospital like that for my daughter, but here is California sadly their is none.
