I worked at CMH as a CRNA (nurse anesthetist) from 1968 until 2009 when I retired. I worked with so many of the AAKC anesthesiologists and PICU physicians and hold them in highest regard. What a terrible loss for CMH and the children of Kansaas City and the entire midwest.

I truly hope you reconsider this decision. This group of physicians is irreplaceable! I would trust them with my kids in a heart beat!

It makes no sense to fire experienced and highly knowledgeable physicians. Decisions like this have no interest in positive patient outcomes and patient safety.

I spent 33 years working with this amazing group of physicians. AAKC providers taught me more than any other group at CMH. Many are mentors and friends. I am so saddened to see what’s becoming of CMH. Don’t make the mistake of letting this group go. I know another corporation just a few exits down the road that would give anything to take up this group and greatly expand their pediatric presence. Also another group just across the state line I’m sure.

We “lived” in the PICU for almost 9 months, while this amazing team gave their all so our Kristin “Special K” could fulfill her purpose. Our family is forever changed, as are many others, because of the efforts this team made. Forever grateful. God bless all of you!!

Please TRUST in the proven dedication over the past 40-50 years of AAKC coverage. Replaceable only thru lost teamwork & safety (OR & PACU & PICU & in-patient & PAIN & clinics & Sedation & Transport), administration & reputation (medical Staff & committee chairs & evidence-based protocols)... and potentially pediatric lives during locum coverage for overlap/transition time period. What is it worth to CMH?

I retired from cmh after working in the PICU over 30 years . Great journey that I will always cherish The Doctors & nursing work together as a team along with pharmacy & resp therapist. Many lives& miracles witnessed because of the knowledge & leadership of the Doctors.
