Taking over a beautiful part of the world! Has to be a better way. Surely there is plenty of space in industrial places nearby that could be used instead of destroying this landscape and causing chaos for local residents and an eyesore!!

If more storage is needed why not build it in a designated industrial area. Do they think that quiet little country folk will just lay down to this. This area of natural beauty is worth protecting.

the distillery already stopped an old peoples home at Sharvagh house as it was dangerous if there was an explosion from Distillery , then they bought the premises, themselves for offices. They have been allowed to build far too many warehouses , i have complained but as far as i know noone else until now when ites nearly too late.

The new COMAH listing will put the new expansion, if it goes through, as a TOP TIER HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE categorisation which should be concerning to every resident in the village!

The landscpae is alreadyfull of warehouse in this conservation village adjacent to a world heritage stite. The village is at risk of acatastrophe if anything should go wrong or fire breaks out at this site. Current storage it too close to residential areas and we dont need more.

What a great idea. Its the only way to publicise this ridiculous planning proposal. Profits before people..No! Funny how locals vote their local politicians into power and are then let down by them. We will remember this when votes are next needed. Keep on trucking!

The beauty of this area is huge draw for the tourist industry....the bushmills factory can be put in another location.

Concerned about the impact this project will have to an area of outstanding beauty; we are attracting a record numbers of visitors and tourism is booming; there are a more than a few areas of concern that I feel have not been addressed in the application

What saddens me is not only the sheer size of such a proposed development in our area of outstanding natural beauty, but that 2 of our most precious national treasures are being pitted against each other, as in Bushmills Whiskey and the Giant's Causeway through foreign investment that has no real understanding of our heritage or culture! I don't call that progress. If this is allowed to go forth, many aspects of our socio economic components will suffer. Not to mention the safety aspect which is very concerning.

While an expansion is welcomed, it is in the wrong place for visual and health & safety reasons and the economic impact it will have a the tourism industry in the area. A better site must be chosen.

This proposed development is unsuitable for the location, adding further to the existing eyesore of industrial buildings looming over an historic location. There is an industrial zone in Coleraine, about 5 miles away, suitable for this

As someone who is reliant on our Tourism Industry (like many in the area), I feel that this project has the potential of delivering too many negative impacts - socially, environmentally and indeed economically for a struggling visitor economy. I believe there are brown field sites which would be better re-purposed for this scale of operation within a 30 mile radius and as a surfer who has seen the impact and devastation of failed systems along this river basin, it is difficult to see ANY justification for an expansion of this nature to happen in this Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB). I hope that planning officers protect it - particularly where it is beyond current planning policy for this area. Please sign and contact your local MPs and MLA's to address your concerns to them also.

Is the Michelin site in Ballymena still vacant? If so, that could be taken over and used.
Once you "open the flood gates" there will be many more planning applications.

As far as the council is concerned the Distillery can get what it wants regardless of impact on the local community. Plans for a care home in the village blocked by them, site now lies abandoned & boarded up. Despite it's size the Distillery does not provide a large amount of local employment.

Every effort should be made to ensure that this facility is safe, environmentally sympathetic and with a minimum impact on the aesthetic nature of the area, which is, after all, one of our greatest tourist resources.
