Save the trees. They provide shade, a carbon sink and deserve some TLC to keep them alive.

I'm a regular visitor to Sonoma. I'd be sad and sorry if these trees were to come down, and what really is the net benefit? As is, they dampen noise, provide color and shade, and absorb polluted air & co2. Tremendous benefits from the trees, tremendous loss if they are cut down. Think it through.

These trees are Sonoma's "receptionists" -- the impression of beauty and majesty one gets on first interaction with our lovely town. Keep the green living things and replace the concrete: shouldn't that always be our guiding principle?

A few trees and sidewalks may need attention. But a very few. Just look at the plaque on Broadway...and you will see the whose Who of Sonoma that made these trees possible.

if you cut them all down what a dreadful waste of $300,000. spent planting them in the first place. I still miss the euclyptus trees further down Broadway.

Is there no one to speak for the trees and those who worked selflessly on the planning of the project to create a shady corridor and entry to the Sonoma Plaza? Save the trees in memory of those who had a vision for our community and the future.

These trees are part of what makes the approach to the plaza on Broadway so beautiful. To cut these down when sidewalks can be repaired around them, especially after they were planted originally with great community pride and involvement would be a huge mistake. Please find a way to keep these beautiful trees.

It took years for these trees to grow this big and beautiful, plus tons of water, concrete sidewalks are much cheaper to fix,

Yes! Keep these trees alive and well. This planting is a critical opening in the gateway to Sonoma Plaza, and help make Sonoma the wonderful city that it is.

This is just ridiculous. There has to be a better way than just cutting down these trees. Other options need to be explored.

These trees are home to birds and other wildlife, are healthy and should not be taken down. There are other ways to achieve the necessary sidewalk repairs.
